Pink Lemonade Punch
Ingredients
•1 (6 ounce) can frozen pink lemonade concentrate
•1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
•2 (6 ounce) cans frozen pink lemonade concentrate
•1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
•1 orange, sliced
•1 lemon, sliced
Directions
In a pitcher, mix together 1 can lemonade with 1 can of water. Pour mixture into an ice cube tray, and place a cherry in each cube. Freeze until solid.
In a punch bowl, combine 2 cans lemonade concentrate, lemon-lime soda and red wine. Stir in lemonade ice cubes, and garnish with maraschino cherries, orange slices and lemon slices.
Raspberry Punch
Ingredients
•2 (12 fluid ounce) cans frozen concentrated raspberry-kiwi juice, partially thawed
•2 (2 liter) bottles raspberry creme soda, chilled
•1/2 gallon raspberry sherbet
Directions
Place raspberry-kiwi juice concentrate in a large punch bowl, Slowly pour in cream soda. Using an ice cream scoop, drop in scoops of sherbet.
Cranberry Punch
Ingredients
•1 1/2 liters cranberry-apple juice
•1 liter ginger ale
•2 limes, thinly sliced
•6 sprigs fresh mint
•6 cups ice
Directions
Half-fill 6 tall glasses with ice. Fill to about three quarters with cranberry-apple juice. Pour ginger ale evenly into the glasses. Stir gently. Decorate with lime and mint sprigs.
Hot Cider Punch
This is a good option for cold weather, and can still be made festive for Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients
•3 cups apple juice
•2 1/2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
•2 cups cranberry juice
•1/4 cup brown sugar
•2 cinnamon sticks
•2 teaspoons whole cloves
•2 teaspoons ground allspice
Directions
Stir the apple juice, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice together with the brown sugar in a large pan. Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and ground allspice into a large teaball or cheesecloth bag. Place the spice bag into the pan with the juice mixture. Heat the juice mixture over medium-high heat about 10 minutes. Serve hot.
Keep in mind that you don’t necessarily need a special recipe to make your drinks festive for Valentine’s Day. Some other ideas include:
•Make heart shaped ice cubes out of the punch (or water.) Trays can be purchased inexpensively.
•Using a cake pan or special mold, freeze the punch into a heart shape and float it in the bowl
•Use festive glasses
•Float edible flower petals in the punch bowl, or freeze them into the ice
