Valentine’s Day is a great day for a romantic date or getaway. However, sometimes when you try to be romantic, the opposite is true, as the effort seems to take away the sentiment. The following are a few ideas of things you can do on Valentine’s Day for a romantic holiday.

Exotic vacation at home- This is a fun, budget friendly way to have a romantic Valentine’s Day. Exotic vacations are often considered some of the most romantic ways to spend your day. So, if you want to have a romantic Valentine’s Day, why not recreate an exotic vacation right at your own home? The way to do this is set up a nice atmosphere that appears to be exotic. For example, you could turn on some tiki music, and string twinkle lights on palm trees, and mix up some pina coladas and other frozen exotic beverages.

A night in- One romantic Valentine’s Day idea is to have a night in. This is where you send the kids out if you have them, order food in so you don’t have to do any work, and make a plan for the night. A night in can be a fantastic way to spend a romantic night together. You will want to make the atmosphere one that inspires romance. You can do this by lighting candles, dimming the lights, playing soft, romantic music, and throwing rose petals about the floor, etc. You can help make the night more romantic by adding in a romantic dinner, drinking a sparkling beverage, munching on erotic foods like grapes, chocolates, and the like.

First date remake- Remake your first date, or your first kiss, or your first time holding hands, or the first time you said “I love you.” Sometimes recreating moments can help you relive them in a tender, happy way. For example, if your first date was to a movie, and you held hands while sharing popcorn, and the like, then you can recreate that date by renting that movie, and snuggling up to watch it under a blanket and while munching on treats. You can eat at the same restaurant, or play the same games, etc. The idea is to enjoy recreating memories that you shared together that were meaningful to you.

Celebrate your love day- This is a great activity for Valentine’s Day. The way it works is that you come up with five activities that will help you celebrate your love. For example, if you love watching sports together, you can get tickets to a sporting event. If you held hands for the first time at a grocery store, you can stop there on the way home from the game to get fixings for dinner. If your first kiss was over spaghetti like Lady and the Tramp style, then make spaghetti for dinner, etc. Then, let them come up with 5 other activities. It is a good way to show each other what is meaningful to you in your relationship.
