Candy sand art
For those who are not familiar with what sand at it, sand art is made by alternating colored layers of sand in a bottle. When the bottle is filled you are left with layers and layers of beautifully colored sand. This same concept can be taken and made into a gift for Valentine’s Day. Instead of sand, you can use Valentine’s Day candies (i.e. conversation hearts) to make your layers in a jar. Simply sort your candies by color and add them to a jar one color at a time, you can even make multiple layers of the same color if you have a lot of candy to give. Finish your jar off with a bow and a note. If your child knows how to sort by color, they can make this craft.
