Butterfly Magnet

Materials

Paper egg carton
Acrylic paint
Small round magnet
Fine glitter
Craft butterfly
Scissors
Paintbrush
Craft glue
Ruler

Instructions

1. Cut 1 egg cup from the carton
2. Trim the edges of the egg cup as smoothly as you can
3. Paint the egg cup the color of your choice
4. Allow to dry
5. Apply another coat if it is needed
6. Glue a small magnet to the bottom of the cup
7. Hold it in place for a few seconds
8. Place the cup upside down and allow it to dry
9. Create flower petals by cutting 16 ¼ inch cuts around the outer edge of the cup
10. Bend the petals back to open up the flower
11. Paint glue over the inside of the cup
12. Sprinkle glue over the glitter
13. Allow to dry
14. Repeat the process on the outside of the cup
15. Tap off any excess glitter
16. Glue a craft butterfly into the center of the flower
