One of the most fun things about using pompoms in your craft is their versatility. You can make pompom crafts for any holiday or for no holiday at all. Best of all pompom crafts can be done by virtually all crafters of all ages. You can find the pompoms you need at your local craft store in a variety of colors that will not bust your budget. So for some crafting fun gather your family and friends around to learn how to make pompom crafts.
Zzz Groundhog Craft-You can make this fun groundhog craft using an egg carton and pom-poms.
You will need:
- 2 Egg Carton Cups
- Paint
- Markers
- Pom-poms
- Yarn or String
- Felt
Instructions for the project: Glue 2 brown, 1 1/2 inch pom-poms side-by-side on the bottom of one of the egg carton cups. After drying then glue another one inch pom-pom on top of that. Add 2 brown, 1/2 inch pom-poms for the ears and 4 brown, 1/2 inch pom-poms for the legs. Cut out a small black circle for a nose and 2 small lengths of yarn to use to make closed eyes. Carefully place the egg carton cups on top of each other with the groundhog lying in the bottom cup. Tape the egg carton cups together on one side. Paint the outsides of both of the egg carton cups green, or whatever color you desire. Set aside to dry completely. Once they are dry, use the marker to draw a few Z’s on the top cup. Now you can now look in the groundhog’s hole and see him sleeping!
