Kitty Refrigerator Magnet

This crazy cat magnet is simple to make using craft sticks.

What you will need:

• 5 Mini Craft Sticks
• 1 large wood oval cutout for the face
• 2 small teardrop cutouts for ears
• 1 Orange and 1 Yellow Chenille Stem
• 4″ Magnetic Strip
• Yellow and Red Acrylic Paint
• Black and Orange Fine Point Permanent Markers
• Tacky Glue

Instructions for the project: Start by painting the craft sticks yellow. On the large oval cutout rouge in cat cheeks using a dry round bristle brush and red paint. You can then draw facial features and paw details with black fine point pen. Paint the teardrop pieces for ears for your cat. Add stripes on all pieces with the fine point orange marker. Glue four of the sticks onto one to be the cat’s legs. Glue the cat’s head on and then the ears to the back of the head. To make a tail for your kitty magnet cut a 3″ length front he orange and yellow chenille stem. Twist both of the chenille pieces together. You can then bend the twisted stems into the shape of a tail and glue 1/2″ on one end to the back of the body. Cut two 2″ pieces from the magnetic strip and then cut the pieces in half vertically. You can then adhere a narrow strip to the back of each leg.
