Solar system paint or chalk project
Solar system projects are fun for all ages because they can be adapted to any level of education. Perhaps you have a preschooler who is learning about the planets. Using finger paints to draw circles of all colors on paper is easy and fun. All you need to do to adapt this craft for older children is to make the drawings more sophisticated. Try painting on black paper or using glow-in-the-dark paints if you have them. You can even paint on fabric and use your solar system art as a wall-hanging or attach it to the roof of a play house to simulate the night sky. Sidewalk chalk enables you and your child to draw even larger planets and adding detail is not so tedious. Sidewalk chalk art is also a good way to incorporate learning into play and to encourage education in the summer months.
