Small gourd ornaments
The first thing you will want to do is a find five or ten small gourd; they should be no bigger than a fist.
Then you will need to soak these small gourds for a couple hours in warm water. This will make it easier to clean the skin off with some steel wool. This will then create a smooth surface for you to paint.
Next you will want to let these small gourds dry completely.
After that, you will want to paint the gourd with what ever designs you are going to be using these ornaments for, like Christmas bells, snow men, etc, or jack-o’-lanterns for Halloween. Make sure paint is completely dry. Don’t forget to put on a semi-gloss or something like that to protect the paint.
Now the last part will be to put a small hole in the top of the stem. You can do this with a nail and hammer. And finally run a string or ribbon through the hole. It will be ready to hang up for fun.
