Reading has never been more popular or more fun than it is today. Book clubs are springing up all over the country in every age group imaginable. Moms are especially busy readers who just love anything new to read or anything that adds to their reading. So if your Mom is a voracious reader, member of book group or just loves to catch a quiet moment with her favorite book you may want to consider making her one of these bookmarks for Mother’s Day. Birds of a Feather Bookmark-This whimsical bookmark will simply delight Mom!
Materials Needed:
Tongue Depressor
Paint or Markers
Glue
Felt
Small Wiggle Eyes
Feather
Instructions for the project: Paint the tongue depressor with whatever color you want the bird to be. Cut a small triangle out of yellow or orange felt and glue it onto the painted tongue depressor where you want the beak to be; then, glue on the wiggle eyes. Turn the tongue depressor over and glue the feather onto the back. Set aside and let the glue dry. You can then write or paint “Happy Mother’s Day” on the back and date your craft work.
